Our journey

2012

Seed of an idea. Founders Maya and Leo opened a tiny espresso cart in the old market square, using a single-origin bean from a small farm in Guatemala. The cart became a morning ritual for locals.

2015

First brick & mortar. We transformed a derelict carpenter’s workshop into our first café. The original workbench became the counter. The scent of coffee mingled with cedar and oak.

2018

Roasting our own. We built a small roastery in the basement, sourcing beans directly from cooperatives. Our signature “Timber Blend” was born — smoky, smooth, with hints of dark chocolate.

2022

Timber & Bean today. Two locations, a loyal community, and a commitment to craft. We host monthly woodworking & latte art nights — because coffee and creation go hand in hand.

Our ethos

Rooted in intention

🌲

Slow & mindful

We take time — to source, to brew, to listen. Every cup is a pause in a busy world.

Natural materials

Wood, stone, clay. Our spaces are built with honest materials that age beautifully.

🤝

Community first

We host local artists, woodworkers, and musicians. Timber & Bean is a living room for the neighborhood.

Direct trade

We work directly with farmers in Guatemala, Ethiopia, and Sumatra. Quality and fairness go hand in hand.
